A Memorable Sunday in Two Parts: Johnnie's Blood Relatives

Today is Johnnie's birthday get-together at Lisa's and due to coronavirus concerns, it was only Fei-fei, Jason and the kids invited today. I came over early to help prep and also give Lisa time to prep. I ended up giving Johnnie a shower, and then helped blow up balloons. Just like last year, I thought.  They came pretty early. I focused on the work stuff, making egg rolls *which is always a hit*. And then later on I picked up the pizza in Marina del Rey. In the meantime, Johnnie, Tony, and Neal played with each other. It's uncanny how much they look alike these 3 boys. So much so when they left later on, the next door neighbors mistook Tony for Johnnie. Anyway the food was eaten, Fei-fei brought a pretty good cake and then it was on to the game. Naturally, the pinata was a hit too. See pics below.

And then we took a family picture. It's still amazing to me that probably 120 years ago this farmer from the central Philippines, this farmer somewhere in the Armenian plains, and this farmer in Northern Mongolian would have their descendants' lives intersect right here in West LA and in this picture. Just amazing. It was a fun party and by 3 PM, I went on home. Tired, but satisfied that Johnnie had a good time.
