Lisa Sick

So I get a call first thing from Lisa this morning, no doubt goaded by Johnnie to have dad come over for breakfast. Or maybe to have dad come over and MAKE breakfast. I never did hear from Lisa about dinner last night so I figured she ended up feeling better. By this morning that turned out not to be the case. And so for today i'm just going to post a bunch of pics. I came over with my French brioche and made us all French toast for breakfast. Of course Lisa would negate all the good feelings from that by yelling at me when Johnnie got some maple syrup on her bed and blamed me for not bringing a tray up with the food. Ay Lisa. She told me I never say I'm sorry and I could NOT let that go. I snapped back that SHE never apologizes either and I stopped short of escalating the fight with examples. I just went downstairs and washed dishes.  Here I am helping her out, watching Johnnie and she is bugging about some maple syrup. As it was, I watched Johnnie for a few hours while Lisa stayed in bed upstairs. I have no doubt she didn't feel well. She said it was MS-related. If it were covid, she'd be showing much worse symptoms so I wasn't worried about that. No doubt she got messed up by Courtney being around too long and then stressing over her business finances. And I tried to remember that before I judged her too harshly. I stayed until past noon figuring she'd feel better and be able to look after Johnnie until I got back. I did need to get away so I didn't feel to overwhelmed myself. By then I was happy that at least I had already gotten to spend some quality time with Johnnie. I wasn't sure what was going to happen this afternoon. What ended up happening was that it turned out to be a very nice day. And Lisa called to ask me to pick up ice cream for Johnnie. Which I did. And then Johnnie, myself, and Zucko walked to Penmar Park. There were lots of people there, most not wearing any facial covering whatsoever, BUT keeping social distancing. Except on the basketball court of course. Anyway, when we got back Johnnie and I ate some fried chicken I brought from Ralphs. And then I took him to my apartment for the night with Lisa's blessing. That on the weekend is a rarity. And so it was that I got to spend lots of time with Johnnie today and that Lisa spent most of the day in bed. And so it turned out to be a pretty good day.
