A Little Hiccup and Dinner with Lisa

So considering I blew off San Diego and Legoland and I didn't plan on any replacement activity, I figured Johnnie and I would just do some bonding time at home. I asked myself why I needed to take him someplace for he and I to have fun anyway? And guess what? We did just fine. First of all, you gotta let him play with his dinosaurs which he can for hours at a time.
And then when we got done, there's always baseball out there in the BBQ patio, which is always worth at least an hour. AND helps me log some steps in. So far so good as far as that is concerned and I have consistently broken past 11,000+ every day this week so far. Besides, Johnnie is developing some pretty good hand-eye coordination. I had a perfectly timed pic of him launching one.

And when we got done and we got hungry, we just walked to Ralphs to get some fried chicken. Mmmm.

And then when we got done with lunch Johnnie knocked out... right on my lap. And I couldn't move until he woke up. Gotta say though, nothing like Johnnie sleeping like a baby in my lap to feel like nothing is wrong in the world.

What I did find out though was that something WAS wrong. I tried to renew my insurance which is due next week and they tell me my driver's license is suspended. I thought it was a joke. Suspended? What? As if I'd committed some kind of DUI or something? Turned out it was all about that accident in June that I was supposed to have reported to the DMV and they sent me something to fill out... at Lindbrook. So I never got it. Now I gotta fix this thing. But before that Lisa was supposed to have dinner with Johnnie and I. And she came and picked us up and took us to Il Forno in Santa Monica. Yep, we've had dinner here before she and I. During happier times. Or perhaps not? But we did have dinner here. Wouldn't you know she'd stick me with the bill? Of course she didn't mind eating halibut if she wasn't paying the cheapskate. Sigh... Oh well, I'll just change my vibration to one of gratitude that the 3 of us got to have some together time. I wanted to thank Lisa actually. This has been the longest Johnnie has been with me alone for consecutive days. And I wanted to show my appreciation. So thank you Lisa. Thank you.
 O

Johnnie and I went home and almost immediately we were ready to go to bed. At first I was going to send Johnnie home with Lisa but she was so out of it, I just figured it would be better to keep him. I mean she was out on her feet and was already that way at the restaurant. But it turned out to be another pretty good day for Johnnie and I.  A pretty good day indeed.
