Happy New Year! And with that thought I got up and went to the apartment gym and snapped off 3 miles on the treadmill just like that. THAT is how you start off the new year and the new decade. Never mind that it forces me to actually take a shower today because I had already worked up a sweat before breakfast, which I made at home by the way. Of course I had plans later on tonight, which was to go to the Lakers-Suns game at Staples. And I still have the entire day before that. What did I do with that entire day? Well usually I'd be doing a retrospective of 2018, but I did that and did it quickly already. No need to dwell on what did and didn't happen. Turned out to be a good year and so we're now focusing on the here and now. The theme for next year is EVOLUTION. I'm not in survival mode anymore, I'm not in a state of flux anymore either, at least not emotionally and not based on my relationship with Lisa. It's time to take it to another level right from where I'm at right now. I already did my manifesting wish list a couple of days ago so no need to spend all day doing that either. I simply spent the morning doing what I would normally do on a Saturday day off (which is to say I don't have Johnnie). I went into Learning Mode and watched videos on Youtube. Today's topics? Quantum Jumping. Which is really simply a fancy name for embodying a version of you so you could get information on what you need in order to manifest desired outcomes. Clearly I need to get in touch with the version of me that has already achieved financial independence. That one should be interesting. Not to be stuck in the house all day even though I at least had already gotten a workout in, I went to Whole Foods for lunch and grabbed myself some sushi, which I hadn't had in a long time. I lingered outside Whole Foods just enjoyed the warmth of the sun on my face, grateful that it isn't freezing cold like it's supposed to be in most of the other parts of the country, or like it is in Paris LOL.
Speaking of which I did get a video call from Lisa and Johnnie today wishing me a Happy New Year. Awww, I got to talk to my Little Bug. They're coming home this weekend already and I have to start planning for MY week with him next week. They caught me in the middle of making cookies. I thought I'd make the batch because the expiration date was 2 days ago. It's almost like we had some connection regardless that they are in France right now. Johnnie still got to see the cookies I made. And then I even got a 45-minute nap in in the afternoon too. Turned out to be a pretty good day already on my day off. And it wasn't done there obviously. I headed out to Staples by 5:30 PM, way early for a 7:30 game I know but I figured I'd eat dinner downtown. It was like things were magnetically coming to me. The only parking spot left within blocks of my target parking spot almost got dropped in my lap. And then I went to Panini Grill and had salmon kabobs and rice for dinner, while watching the end of the Oregon-Wisconsin Rose Bowl game. Haven't had THAT in a while either. Anyway, I was not eating any of that overpriced stuff at Staples Center. Although I did spring for some popcorn and a soda just like if I were at the movies LOL. I went in to the arena 45 minutes before game time. Sat there and took in the view. I'm watching the Lakers in person at Staples on the first day of 2020. Gotta be grateful for that right? As far as the game itself, the Lakers came out on fire and were up on the Phoenix Suns 42-17. After the first quarter! They were up at halftime 74-41! I mean they had a 33 point lead! I decided to go home early. It's ok to watch the last quarter on TV and then the post game afterwards too. As it turned out the Suns made their run in the 4th quarter and got it down to a single digit lead. Before LeBron and AD closed it out. Whoof! A learning lesson i think. But a win is a win is a win. And it is a really good start to 2020.
