The Friday Finish Line

I woke up with a feeling of gratitude today. And why not? It IS Friday and the last day of the work week, and payday Friday to boot. Always grateful when you receive. But the best part about first thing this morning was that I was actually able to have a nice, quiet meditation session to clear negative energies and set my intention for the day. THIS is what I should be doing on a daily basis. With the help of a couple of YouTube videos, I scanned my body energetically and I felt that I was able to release unwanted stuff. And when you're able to do that, it's like peeling an onion with layers. You take out the first layer, the next layer comes up. And then the next. And this actually reinforces the fact that clearing is a daily maintenance process, no different than taking a shower or brushing your teeth. I will call it ENERGETIC HYGIENE. And this morning's session helped ease a lot of the tightness in my upper neck and back. And I also experimented incorporating energy releasing with EFT and hoonoponopono. And the result was that I was in pretty high energy for the rest of the morning. I felt very much "light-hearted" going into the office even with the thought that it was actually Friday, I'm dressed down and there isn't anything urgent going on. At least not on the surface although I'm pretty aware Mercury is still in retrograde. And so I might need to hang on until the weekend is over. Still I got some work in, even did a CCALAC meeting and then on to the monthly March birthday celebrations and the spate of mash-up word and emoji games. Ahh millennials and their games! Still it kept the day pretty light-hearted and by the end of the day, nothing had gone down and everything was ok. I got out of the office FAST LOL. I was excited to actually go home and watch the Lakers game tonight. It's going to be a big weekend for the Lakers. Tonight they play the #1 Bucks with the NBA's best record and then of course on Sunday I have tickets to watch the Lakers-Clippers at Staples. But first tonight... as light-hearted as the day went I didn't actually leave my desk much hence I was just at 3000 steps by day's end. And so I had to spend some time to catch up. And I picked up fried chicken at Ralphs for dinner too. I did not feel like cooking anything. By gametime @7:30 I had gotten up to 9500 steps and had eaten dinner. And so it was easy to get to finish up 11,000 steps tonight. As far as the game, I got too nervous like I always do and ended up watching a movie instead for the first part. I watched Spenser Confidential on Netflix, which really didn't turn out to be a good movie even though Mark Wahlberg was in it. Still it kept me distracted enough and I was reduced to peeking at the Bucks-Lakers score. Close at halftime. Whew... Good enough for me. When I finally switched channels the Lakers were in the middle of an 18-0 run in the 3rd quarter! YES! They would go on to win this game and it looked like Giannis was hurt too in the process. They went right at him. Usually Giannis would bully ball his way with athleticism. Not tonight. And guess who picked him up a lot too: LeBron. The old man sure looked spry! What an awesome win by the Lakers! And so naturally I would spend a good hour on the internet and post-game relishing the victory. I chilled snacking on hot tea and a peanut butter raspberry jam mini sandwich on Hawaiian roll. And then I went to bed somewhat early. I'm picking up Johnnie tomorrow morning first thing because Lisa is working. Tonight provided a nice balance between having had him all week and then having him pretty much all day tomorrow. It was ME time today and it turned out just great. I had myself a quiet Friday and that was perfectly fine with me.
